The Rhyming Bug

I have caught the rhyming bug,

for which there is no cure.

Someone help me please,

before my words become a blur!

I can't write a single poem,

that lacks in elementary rhyme,

and the disease is spreading fast,

so act now before I’m out of time!

It has taken control of my pen,

my thoughts, my fingers, and my mind.

Hurry, quick make a donation,

so the remedy someone can find!

But, be cautious fellow poets,

this bug is highly infectious-it will spread.

So if it comes down to you or me,

save yourself instead!

You had better cover your eyes,

don't read another rhyming piece,

'cause if you catch the rhyming bug,

the rhyming will never cease!!!
